Knowing about History prevents people from repeating it (Or at least discourages people). The Chazen Art Museum was saved in the apocalypse in an effort to keep some of Madison's, and the world's history in tact for newer generations to enjoy and appreciate. Art often depicts moments in history and mythology for people to appreciate, and most, if not all of the artifacts that are there are priceless in value. There has been more than one incident with thievery in the museum, which is why with every attempted theft, the security gets enhanced. Most of these thieves are then sent to the Henry Vilas Prison.
